Join OTTERBECK BUILDERS INC as a Lead Carpenter and take the next step in your career! We are looking for a skilled professional to lead our construction projects with precision and expertise while working alongside a dedicated team in Castleton On Hudson, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices on job sites.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform framing, roofing, and finishing work with attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and provide updates.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
